Udupi, 17 August 2011: Two youths pretending to purchase the goods have robbed Rs. 20,000 and ran away from a shop in Bannaje on Tuesday. These two youths came to the grocery shop of M. Subrahmanya Rao at 12.30 pm in the afternoon and started to purchase the goods. While Subrahmanya Rao turned to other side to get the goods, both the youth had disappeared.
Rs. 20,000 cash, 3 Bank Pass Books, Purse containing 2 Active Honda Scooter Booking receipt and Driving licence were all have been robbed from the cash counter. As per the complaint given by Subrahmanya Rao the case has been registered at Udupi Police Station.
Brahmavara, 17 August 2011: Two serial robberies have taken place in Kokkarne, Pejamangoor, Brahmavara on Monday night. In the first incident the thieves have broken the lock of the shutter of Suvarna Digital Studio owned by K. Santhosh Suvarna and have robbed the Cosina SLR Camera worth Rs. 12,000.
In the second incident the thieves have broken the door lock of a Mobile Recharge shop owned by Harish at the building belonging to Padda in Kokkarne town. The thieves have taken 3 Nokia mobiles, 1 Sony Ericson, all costing Rs. 30,000 and cash Rs. 1,800. Both these incidents have been registered in Brahmavara Police Station.
Shankaranarayan, 17 August 2011: A youth collapsed while playing Volleyball and died in Marvi of Vandaru Grama on Monday. Suresh Kumar (26) is the cousin of Krishna of Hadimane, Avarse Grama. While playing Volleyball with his friends, he collapsed and got unconscious.
Immediatly his friends took him to Haladi Hospital, but the Medical Officer examined him and declared that he is dead. As per the complaint given by Krishna the case has been registered in Shankaranarayana Police Station and the investigation is in progress.
