Brand Mangalore Award to Vijaya Kotyan

Mumbai, June 24: Vijaya Karnataka senior reporter Vijayakotyan Padu has been selected for the “Brand Mangaluru” award given by the D.K. District Working Journalists Association for reporting that reflects goodwill.
The award was won for the report "Asif, who was destined to become a tiger", published in the Vijaya Karnataka newspaper on October 2, 2024.
The award consists of Rs. 5,001, a certificate and a memento.CCR B ACP Geeta Kulkarni, Senior Journalist Jaideep Shenai, Journalism Lecturer Guruprasad Brand Mangalore were the judges of the Mangalore Award, D.K. District Working Journalists’ Association General Secretary Jitendra Kundeshwar said in a press release.
Introduction: Vijaya entered journalism through Hosadigantha and has been working in Karnataka for 20 years.
P.G. Award for the year 2019-20, B.S. Venkataram State Award for a drug-related scoop report at the Journalists’ State Conference held in Kalaburagi in 2022, and the prestigious `Abhimani Datti Award’ given by the Karnataka Media Academy. He has received Nirumarga Padu is the son of Gopal Pujari and Kamala of Bondanthila village.
Award Ceremony: Mangalore Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy will present the award at the Press Hall on June 25 at 11 am.
District Working Journalists Association President Srinivas Nayak Indaje will preside. Press Club President P.B. Harish Rai and Patrika Bhavan Trust President Ramakrishna R. will be present.
