Taccode Church celebrates Monthi Fest

Tacode, 08 Sep 2012: The preparation for the Monthi Festh had started with nine days of novena. During the feast mass, Rev. Dr. Mark Castelino, the parish priest of Tacode raised the spiritual level of the parishioners through his effective sermons on the theme “Let us build God-fearing and faithful families”.

 

Prior to the solemn feast mass, the new paddy was blessed in front of the Grotto on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 8 am. Thereafter the children showered flowers in honour of Child Mary. Thereafter, children and parishioners went in procession to the church singing hymns in honour of Mother Mary. The Grotto was decorated with flowers sponsored by  Brian Rego and Family of  Rambail Ward.

 

 

The blessed new paddy and the statue of Child Mary was carried by 12 Gurkars  inside the church. The liturgy of the day was animated by the Gurkars. The main altar was decorated with plenty of flowers. After the mass, sugar cane sponsored by  Rohit Cardoza of  Maroor Ward was distributed to the children and the adults.
