Ferarites UAE celebrate Monti Fest with Feeling of Oneness, and Happiness

Dubai, 19 Sep 2012: Ferarites UAE, an association of St. Francis Xavier Church, Ferar, celebrated Monti Fest, a feast of Nativity of our Blessed Virgin Mary, with great devotion on Thursday, 13 September at Bangalore Empire Restaurant, Karama in the presence of a large gathering.
The programme started with a welcome note by Lawrence Cutinha. Clara Fernandes, Lilly Moras and Rosetta Pereira led a short prayer service. President Leslie Fernandes welcoming all the Ferarites and said that the main purpose of Monti Fest was to celebrate the event as one family, he recalled the monti fest memories back at home and also highlighted the good work done by the Ferarites during last 5 years. He also sent out a warm note of gratitude to all the supporters of Ferarites UAE for their valuable support towards the association.
The compere of the evening Lawrence Cutinha, kept the audience with miles of smiles and laughs with his entertaining games and jokes. The programme continued with variety entertainment such as dances and various games, Housie Housie and Lucky Draw.
Ferarites very own Dazzlers brought forth many talented children and Ferarites Kenisha, Alvira and Rydell who presented their skills in dancing, were honored with a token of appreciation.
Founder President of Ferarites Vincent Pereira gave a glimpse of the forthcoming programs during the year. The sponsors were honored and appreciated for their support. The whole event was captured in camera by member Ronald Moras. Norbert Sequeira took the privilege to thank all those who were present and appreciated the sincere efforts of all members who helped to make the day a great success.The major attraction was Pearl Necklaces Lucky Draw, sponsored by Liali Jewellery.
Children holding flower baskets offered flowers to the Mother Mary, while the gathering sang “Sakkad Sangatha Melyam”. Blessed paddy mixed with milk was served to all those present, after the prayers conducted by Leslie Pinto, which was followed by the traditional ’Novem Jevan’.
A vegetarian dinner consisting of nine varieties of vegetables was served, prepared by Bangalore Empire Restaurant, with delicious ’vorn’ , which brought back sweet memories of home. ’Housie-housie’ was conducted by Roshan Lobo and Anita Lobo. Prizes were given away to winners of all the games.
The programme concluded at 12.00 a.m. The guests left the venue with a feeling of happiness and cheer. Due to the selfless efforts put in by the members of Ferarites UAE with a feeling of oneness, the Ferarites have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to celebrate Monti Fest for all these years and the efforts are going on with one voice that says “MORIYEK HOGOLSIYAAN”.
