Fabulous response for the last Wilfy Nite show of Diwali Season in Mumbai

Mumbai, 31 October 2011: The fifth and the last Wilfy Nite show of Diwali Season held yesterday at Mira Road Church grounds turned out to be a great success. Over one thousand music lovers witnessed this sentimental show sponsored by Wilfred Fernandes of FERNANDES ASSOCIATES. St. Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association, Mira Road organised the show.

 

The special attraction of todays show was the "Sunshine Band" came all over from Permpalli, Udupi which lead the guests and the artist on a procession to the stage.

 

The chief guest of todays function was Mr. Gilbert Mendonca, MLA of the region. The other guests were Bassein Catholic Bank chairman Mr. Dominic Sebestian D’Mello, Fernandes & Associates chairman Mr. Wilfred Fernandes, Malaika Appliances chairman Mr. Gilbert Baptist, Noronha Estate Agency chairman Mr. Robert Noronha along with the Dynamic Leader of the association Maurice Pinto, President John Crasta, Secretary Sophia D’Sa, Treasurer Lawrence Mathias present at the dais. Parish Priest Fr. Dominic Vas presided over the function. Mrs Meena Rebimbus and Mr Vishwas Rebimbus were honoured with a flower bouquet.

 

President John Crasta welcomed the gathering. Secretary Sophia D’Sa proposed vote of thanks. Joy Paladka compered the stage programme. The entire show was beautifully anchored by Leslie Rego.

 

 

Another attraction of todays show was the song "Baila". Porot Ek Pavtti and Mog Kelo Sangitacho (Veena/Vishwas), Tum Maka Hanv Tuka (Meena), Fulabai (Vishwas/Claud/Babita/Charleen), Channyachya Ratim (Ivan/Veena), Mhojem Kaliz Bullam (Munita), Lungi (Ivan/Prem/Claud), Matembor Pangor Dorina (Vishwas/Babita), Mhojea Kudintlea Shiramni (Ivan), Suknne (Vishwas), 2010 Isvi (Prem/Claud), Zuvanna (Claud), Jhony Johny Yore Moga (Prem/Claud), Mhojem Kaliz Mogar Podlam (Babita), Nach Moga (Veena/Ivan/Vishwas), Kutmachem Nanv Sangonaka (Prem/Babita), Konknni Amchi Bhas (Recorded voice of Late Wilfy, Meena and group) were the other songs presented today.

 

Leslie Rego and Dolla presented hilarious skits namely "Budvont Bapoi" (Wise Father), "Mashinar Hat" (Hand on the Machine), "Baylechem Fone" (Phone from the lady), Parachute and Manglaore to Goa distance. Stanzy Alfred, Chris Misquith, Felita Fonseca and Renita Lobo presented dance. Shabaridas (Tabla), Pitambar (Rhythm Pad), Arthur Dias Bhyandar (Bass Guitar), Joswin Pinto (lead guitar), Teo Alvares (Trumphet) and Pappan (Keyboard) contributed instrumentals. Christi of Chris Electronics arranged the sounds and lightings.
