Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony held in SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences

Mangalore: The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the 31th batch of B.Sc Nursing students and 22nd batch of GNM students of SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences was held on 17th January 2025 at KAMC Auditorium, Ashoknagar, Mangalore. 

 

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Padma Priya S, Principal, Dr. M.V Shetty College of Nursing, Mangalore.                 Dr. Abhinay Sorake, Secretary, Karnataka Educational & Charitable Trust presided over the function. A heart warming welcome speech was given by Ms. Ashwitha.  The novice nurses received the light from the Chief Guest of the programme. Mrs. Ashwini.U, Associate Professor highlighted the significance of the day. 

The Chief Guest Dr. Padma Priya S, in her address congratulated the students for selecting this noble profession and stressed on the importance of touch in patient care and nurses responsibilities in patient care. 

 

All the novice nursing students were rendered into the profession by taking the nurses oath delivered by the Principal, Prof. (Mrs.) Lolita S.M D’Souza. The program was compered by Ms. Clesiy. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Supreetha. Mr U.K Khalid Administrative officer and Mr. Anil Kumar, Vice Principal, and Coordinator Mrs. Rajashree was present for the programme.
