Sri Satyanarayana Puja during Makar Sankrama Parvakaal in Gokul

Mumbai (RBI), Jan. 16: Gopalakrishna Public Trust and BSKB Association, which is celebrating its centenary, celebrated Makar Sankraman Parva, the beginning of the holy Uttarayan period, with great enthusiasm, with a mass Shri Satyanarayana Mahapuja at Gokul Sabhagriha, east of Sayan, on Tuesday.
The traditional puja rituals were performed with prayers to the deities and collective prayers for the devotees under the presiding priestship of Ve|Moo|Daregudde Srinivas Bhat.
After the Mahamangalaarti, Srinivas Bhatt in his prayer said, "During this period of Makar Sankrama, in the presence of Gokul Shri Gopalakrishna, we have celebrated mass Sri Satyanarayana Puja with great devotion, chanting Sahasra Nama and Harinama Sankirtan. May the Lord bless all the devotees with good health, happiness and wealth, and may all the programs of the centenary celebrations be carried out without any hindrance."
As a cultural program, the Gokul Bhajana Mandali and the regional Bhajana Mandali such as Gopalakrishna Bhajana Mandali, Harikrishna Bhajana Mandali, Vitthala Bhajana Mandali, Skanda Bhajana Mandali performed Harinama Sankirtan of Dasara Padam based on the theme "Panduranga Vitthala" narrated by Prema Rao. The Gokul Women’s Section distributed rice, saffron, and sesame seeds.
On this occasion, BSKB Association President Dr. Suresh S. Rao Kateel, office bearers of the association, members of the executive committee, members of the board of trustees and religious committee of Gopalakrishna Public Trust and about a hundred devotees were present. After the daily worship of Sri Gopalakrishna, the Tirtha Prasadam was distributed and Prasadam Bhojan was served.
