Mangalore: Father Muller Pulse - 2014, Imprint, annual bulletin released

Mangalore, 12 Jun 2014: Father Muller Pulse – 2014, Imprint, annual bulletin was released during a function held at Father Muller Medical College decennial hall, Knowledge Centre, here on Thursday June 12 at 3.30pm.
The renowned Mangalorean genealogist and author of several research books Dr Michael Lobo was the chief guest of the occasion.
Father Muller Charitable Institutions director Fr Patrick Rodrigues presided the programme.
Father Muller Medical College administrator Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, dean Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Imprint staff editor Dr Nicole, student editor Niti Luke were present on the dais.
Father Muller Charitable Institutions administrator Fr Richard Coelho, faculty members, staff and students were also present.
Fr Patrick, Dr Michael along with dignitaries released Father Muller Pulse – 2-14, Imprint during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lobo said that the editorial team of Imprint has done a painstaking job to near perfection by using digital technology in bringing out the bulletin. He emphasized on his research study on theory of relativity based on Albert Einstein that enables one to move forward faster as Imprint has devoted a page in this regard. Meanwhile, he further said that his area of interest takes him back to over 100 years in Mangalore when automobile has not come to the city and bullock-cart was the significant means of transport. As a genealogist, he has devoted his entire life in this area of his interest after returning from UK.
Fr Patrick in his presidential address said that writing makes a perfect man. The art of writing does not come just like that. One has to articulate in thoughts to put it in words and keep revising it into perfection. He further said, ‘the medicos are not good in writing, but the future surgeons studying in Father Muller Medical College have proved that they can explore their writing skills.’ He congratulated all the contributors of Imprint and also the editorial team in their quest for perfection.
Fr Rudolph introduced Dr Michael and commended the efforts of editorial team in bringing out Imprint.
Dr Michael presented a CD of 50 songs that bagged Oscar Award beginning from 1934 to Niti Luke.
Dr Jayaprakash Alva presented a memento to Dr Michael on the same occasion.
Deepti compered the programme. Dr Nicole welcomed the gathering. Niti Luke proposed vote of thanks.
