It is indeed a great event to see Shirva St Mary s College, function, as the college has become a great educational institution providing for all essential academic needs of the rural students. The dream of founding fathers of Catholic Sabha has come true and one must rember the efforts of Mr Oscar Fernandes, Mr. Alban Rodrigues and other members of the Ad-hoc committee of the Catholic Sabha, who with the backing of Rev. Fr.Rosario and Mr Louis Mendonca the Principal of the High school then,to have got permission to start the College in 1980despite great odds. By the Blessings of Mother Mary it has grown to strength and this occasion is indeed a great one. May the St.Mary s college become the top educational College, in a rural India, in India. I am proud of it because I was also pulled in to be a member of the ad-hoc committee of the catholic sabha. |
