Shirva: St Mary’s College to host National Seminar on Aug 23, 24

Shirva, 21 Aug 2013: Political Science Department of St. Mary’s College, Shirva is scheduled to hold a UGC Sponsored National Seminar on ‘New Paradigms in Administration : e-Governance in Karnataka’ on August 23 and 24, 2013 at 9.30 a.m. in Saude Sabha Bhavan, Shirva. The Seminar is organized in collaboration with Mangalore University Political Science Teachers Association.
Mr. Vinaya Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Minister-in-Charge of Udupi District, Govt. of Karnataka will declare the Seminar open and Dr. Sandeep Shasthri, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Jain University, Bangalore will deliver the key-note address. The programme will be presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, Correspondent of the College.
In the symposia, eminent scholars-Dr. Jose Chathukulam, Director, Centre for Rural Management, Kottayam, Kerala, Mr. Narasimha Bhat, AGM, State Bank of Mysore, Karwar Region, Dr. D. Shambhu Bhat, Asst. Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Udupi District will resource the event.
Mangalore University Political Science Department Head Dr. Jayaraj Amin, Udupi Human Rights Protection Foundation President Dr. Ravindranath Shanbhag, Dr. Muzaffer Assadi, Professor, Political Science Department, Mysore University, Udupi Lokayuktha Inspector Sri Dinesh Kumar will resource the programme on August 24.
The event will come to a close with the participation of Sri S. A. Prabhakara Sharma, CEO, Zilla Panchayath, Udupi in the discussions. The seminar will be attended by about 150 participants.
