Constitution of the New Committee of Bellevision-Muscat for the year 2010-2011

Muscat, 02 June 2010: A meeting for the constitution of a new committee of BelleVision-Muscat for the year 2010-2011 was held on 28th May 2010 at NTI premises, Al Khuwair. Twenty one members were present for the meeting. The meeting commenced with a prayer and condolences to the victims of Air India Express air-crash that left the entire country and especially the city of Mangalore in a state of shock and despair. The members offered prayers to the eternal rest of the departed souls and prayed for the bereaved families. Mr. Lawrence Alva welcomed all the members for the meeting and initiated the process of electing the new office bearers of Bellevision-Muscat. The following committee members were nominated, elected and confirmed.

The outgoing President of Bellevision-Muscat, Mr. Simon D’Souza, while addressing the committee members, thanked all of them and the members of Bellevision-Muscat in general for the support given to him and his team during his tenure and also requested to extend wholehearted support and cooperation to the new committee for the forthcoming year.
Mr. Edward Mendonca the newly elected president expressed his gratitude for being nominated and made an appeal to the members for their full support and cooperation. He requested the members to enrol more and more new members to help the Bellevison to grow further. He briefed the newly elected members of their responsibilities.
The meeting also passed the following resolutions:
(1)The First meeting of the new office bearers is tentatively scheduled for 30th July 2010, during which the Annual Day will be planned.
(2)Picnic of Bellevison-Muscat is planned during first or second day of Id-Ul Fitr
(3) The members will meet once a month on fourth Friday for personal development workshops. Friends and relatives can be invited to participate in these workshops. Mr. Anil will coordinate these workshops.
Finally, Mr. Denis D’Souza gave a common invitation to all Bellevision members for the first birthday of his daughter.
The new President of Bellevision-Muscat, Mr. Edward Mendonca is a dynamic person with great interest in the activities of Bellevision-Muscat. He is the son of late Lawrence and Dulcin Mendonca and belongs to St. Theresa Ward of St. Antony’s Parish, Kuntalnagar. After his initial education, Edward completed Diploma in Automobile Engineering in Mumbai. While in Mumbai Edward worked for Premiere Automotive Company Limited, manufacturing Fiat cars. Since many years, Edward has been working in Muscat.

Edward is married to Philomena Mendonca and has a daughter named Priyanka Mendonca who is a talented dancer. It is hoped that under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Edward Mendonca and the able guidance of Mr. Lawrence Alva and Simon D’Souza, the teamwork of the committee members and cooperation of all the members, Bellevision-Muscat will grow and flourish.
