Annual Day of Bellevison in Muscat: An evening of fun and togetherness

Muscat, 21 Feb 2012: The Bellevision team of Muscat-Oman organised the Annual Day on February 16,  2012 at NTI, Alkuwair. The programme began with prayer song led by Florine and Ianesh D’Souza.

 

The President of Bellevison-Muscat, Edward Mendonca welcomed the gathering from Moodubelle, Kunthalngar, Pamboor and Kanajar Parishes and new members to the team. He highlighted the support given by all the members towards organisation of the various events during the past two years of his tenure as president of Bellevison. Mrs. Judith Lobo the secretary of the team presented a brief report of the unit for the past two years.

 

The entire evening was spent with interaction of various members. The group was entertained by dance by Priyanka Mendonca, Cleona Rodrigues, Rishita Picardo, Riyana Lobo and Viana Mathais. The Konkani Version of Kolavai sung by   Roshwal D’Souza,    budding singer stunned the audience with his melodious voice. The members also put forth two skits directed by  Edward Mendona. The main artists were Ida Castelino, Simon D’Souza, Anil Phillip D’Mello and Edward Mendona.

 

 

Apart from cultural activities,  games were conducted for both children and adults by Mrs. Felcy Frank, Ms.Glenda Castelino and Anil D’Mello.  It was a moment of enjoyment and fun for the guests and members with their family.

 

After the cultural event everyone enjoyed the traditional Mangalorean dinner prepared by a team of members lead by Mrs. Philomena Mendonca.  Following dinner the group gathered for a Housie Housie Game and Baila Dance. Prize Distribution was held for the winners of the games. The winners were as follows:

 

Adult Game: Alban menezes and Lucy D’mello; Mr and Mrs. Dion Rebello

 

Children Games: Dhruv, Jonathan and Riyana

 

Housie Housie Game: Jaldi five and all lines were won by the following members:  Valerian Lobo,  Ivor D’souza; Reshma Rodrigues, and Rajesh Saldanha. The full house was won by Janeeta Lobo, Second full house by Glenda Castelino and a special prize by Ianesh D’Souza.

 

Spot Prize was won by: Mrs.  Agnes Picardo  and Florine D’Souza

 

The Programme was compeered by  Lawrence Alva. The evening was more jubilant with DJ from Priyanka  Mendonca  and Ivor D’Souza . Finally Mrs. Felcy Frank the Vice president thanked all the organisers and members for their support and help given to conduct this event.
