Bantwal: Literature has the power to strengthen the intellect as well as promote collective harmony and community welfare, and schools need to do the work of filling this need, said Dr. Nagaveni Manchi, a literary scholar and Kannada professor.

 

Under the auspices of the Kasapa Bantwal Taluk Unit of D.K. District, in collaboration with the Manchi-Kolladu Government High School Senior Students’ Association (R), the two-day event will be held on Saturday evening at the B.V. Karanth Auditorium of Manchi-Kolladu Government High School, The Kannada Pandit A.P. Thimmayan Vedike.

 

He was speaking after inaugurating the 23rd Kannada Literary Conference of Bantwal Taluk by lighting the lamp.

 

Kannada Pandit D. A.P. Thimmayan said that the lessons he taught from Pampa to Muddanna have filled the soul with energy. He said that this school has taught Trikarana Shuddhi. He said that literature has the power to safeguard the welfare of the community along with collective harmony.

 

Recalling his education and childhood stories here, Dr. Nagaveni Manchi recalled the lessons taught by Shivanna Maestro at Noojibailu School on this occasion and said that literature and life values ??are changing with the changing times. He said that writing that nurtures the healthy life of society is true humanity, and giving love is true literature.

 

Speaking at the event, D.K. District Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Dr. M.P. Srinath said that Bantwal is at the forefront of literary and cultural life.

 

Satish Kumar Alva, the chairman of the reception committee, said that the conference was organized with the help of literature enthusiasts not only from Manchi but also from all the surrounding villages.

Three new works were released on this occasion. Conference President Muli Shankar Bhatta presided over the event.

Patil International University, Dr. Biran Moydin Patil, the tribal minister, Amtur Lions Club founder president Noel Lobo, field education officer Manjunathan, Kasapa district honorary secretary Vinay Acharya, Mulkighatka president Mithun Udupa, reception committee general secretary M.D. Manchi and Bantwal Kasapa office bearers Ramanand Noojippadi and D.B. Abdul Rahiman were present on the stage.

 

School principal Sushila Vitla, hobli presidents P. Mohammed, Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, welcome committee office bearers Abbas Ali, B.M. Umanath Rai Merau, Ravindra Kukkaje, Padara Mahabaleshwar Bhat, Suresh Negalaguli and others were present.

 

Earlier, Dr. Mukunda Prabhu, associate professor at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, and businessman L. Chandrahas Rai Balajibailu inaugurated the bookstore.

 

Ram Prasad Rai, the chief coordinator of the reception committee, welcomed the gathering. Rekha Vishwanath made the introduction. Bantwal Kasapa Honorary Secretary V. Subrahmanya Bhat proposed the vote of thanks. Teacher Taranath Kairangala, Pushparaj Kukkaje hosted the program. Devdas Arkula, Harshit Shetty, and Manchi collaborated.

 

Earlier, a charming procession of Kannada Bhuvaneshwari from the premises of Kukkaje Sri Siddhivinayak Bhajan Mandir to the conference hall was held. Initially, the students of Manchi-Kolnad Government High School performed a welcome dance.

 

A Yakshagana performance was performed by senior students and amateur artists of Manchi-Kolladu Government High School.

 

The programs will begin at 7.30 am on Jan. 05 and will last till 8.00 pm. There will be a poetry recital, seminar, cultural program, lecture, awards to organizations, felicitation of achievers, prize distribution to the winners of story and poetry competitions, and a closing ceremony.
