ICYM Moodubelle Welcomes New Leadership: 2025 Office Bearers Take Oath of Service

Udupi/M’Belle, 05 Jan 2025: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Moodubelle welcomed its newly elected office bearers for the 2025 term during a solemn oath taking ceremony held on Sunday at St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle. The ceremony, conducted after the first Holy Mass, was graced by the presence of Fr. George Thomas and Fr. Rickson Montheiro, who blessed and uided the new committee members as they assumed their responsibilities.
This important event signifies the beginning of a new chapter for ICYM Moodubelle, reaffirming its dedication to fostering faith, leadership and community engagement among its members.

ICYM Moodubelle, driven by its motto "Faith, Fellowship and Service," envisions creating a vibrant community of young Catholics who actively live out their faith while contributing to the parish and society. The organization aims to nurture leadership qualities among its members, encourage teamwork through cultural and sports activities and foster a spirit of service by engaging in meaningful charitable initiatives. By prioritizing spiritual enrichment through prayer, retreats and church involvement, ICYM seeks to empower its members to grow holistically and make a lasting impact on the community.

Speaking to us about his vision for the term, President Aron Barboza shared, "Our focus this year is to strengthen the bond within our youth community, cultivate leadership qualities, and contribute meaningfully to both the parish and society. ICYM is not just about organizing games and cultural activities, we aim to upskill the youth in our parish, make them more proactive, and create opportunities that inspire growth. Our goal is to foster unity among parishioners, bringing them together as one family. Through this approach, we hope to build a strong foundation for future generations while making a positive difference in our community."
The newly elected office bearers also emphasized their commitment to organizing diverse events, including cultural fests, sports tournaments, spiritual retreats, and social service initiatives. They expressed their determination to work collaboratively, ensuring ICYM’s goals resonate with the aspirations of the youth and benefit the wider community.
