Moodubelle: A Get-Together of Out Going Science Students

Moodubelle, 23 February 2010: A get-together was arranged for the second P.U. Science outgoing students on Friday 19th February 2010 at the college auditorium. The correspondent was the president, Mr. Devadas Hebbar – President, Old Students Association, Mrs. Meera Lobo – President of Parent Teacher Association, Principal, Staff with the students were present.

A small prayer was conducted by the Principal where Gods blessings were made to shower on the students, the staff, the management and all the donors, which is followed by sharing of their experiences in this institution for the past two years. They thanked the management for the opportunity given for the students and for establishing laboratories with full facilities and providing good teaching faculty.

The environment for the study is superb. It is really fitting that the college has bagged ‘A’ Grade by the PU Department. All the students were happy that they got attention towards their personality development, emotional growth, intellectual development and special attention by the lecturers. They were happy that they have studied in this institution which has formed them as the citizens of tomorrow. Then the students were asked to tell about their decision of what they wanted to be in their lives. They have touched many areas as medical, engineering, nursing, lecturers, diplomas etc. etc.

Mr. Hebbar taking the cognizance of what the students expressed told them to prove themselves in their forth coming examinations and in their lives later on as old students to be true Lawrencian. He also appreciated the standard of education meeted to the students here with a difference. The management has provided the best facilities to the students. The donors all over the world have shown keen interest to the Science section and to its progress. He wished the students all the best. The lecturers thanked and appreciated the student’s cooperation in transmitting education.

Fr. Arun Mendonca appreciated the first batch is the best batch and he called the students to prove it. The correspondent wished the students every success in their examinations and thanked the lecturers for their hardwork and love towards the institution. He recited a prayer over them.

Mrs. Shakunthala- Lecturer in Computer Science who was the master of Ceremony, Ms. Shruthi Lecturer in Mathematics welcomed the gathering and Ms. Divya – HOD and lecturer in Physics gave the vote of thanks. All were given refreshment.
