KBL donates truck to Siri Village Industries, Dharmastala; CEO assures KBL on sound footing

Beltangady, 16 Mar: Karnataka Bank Limited (KBL) in a simple function donated a truck to Siri Village Industries promoted by Sri Kshetra Dharmastala, here on Saturday, March 14. Siri Village Industries is a boon for rural women to supplement their incomes by producing home products.
KBL managing director and CEO Mahabaleshwar M S handed over the keys of the truck to Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade on the occasion.
In his presidential address, Heggade said, ‘Siri Village Industries formed self-help-groups (SHGs) of women, supplies them of raw materials, offering training and guidance in making them self sufficient. The home products, snacks, ready made dresses, areca-leaves plates, incense sticks, rexine and disinfectants that are manufactured marked by Siri Village Industries under the brand ‘Siri’. These genuine products are in great demand by health conscious customers.’
Speaking on the occasion, Mahabaleshwar said, ‘KBL has 850 branches across India with 8,500 employees who are highly motivated in offering best of customer services. The emphasis are laid on rural development and it’s leading in profit every year.’
He also expressed concern over the reports telecast by a few TV channels on recent Yes Bank incident that is destabilizing the trust in banking systems of our country. Meanwhile, Mahabaleshwar assured KBL customers not to worry as their monies are safe and the bank is on sound footing.
Siri Village Industries CEO N Janardhan delivered the preliminary address and explained the journey of their enterprise since its inception till now.
KBL general manager Chandrashekar Rao, deputy general manager Chandrashekar, chief manager Mallika, KBL – Ujire branch manager Arvind Bhandarkar, Uday and Arvind of Tata Motors, D Harshendra Kumar were present.
