Mumbai: Purushottam High School, Bandra (E) launches golden jubilee celebration

Mumbai, 04 Apr: The golden jubilee celebration of Purushottam High School, Bandra (East), here was inaugurated on Monday, April 1. It’s also observed as Founder’s Day to mark the birth anniversary of the late principal K B Kotian, a mentor, guide and a philosopher.
The programme began with fervor amidst 4 generations of the Kotian family and teachers, alumni and other dignitaries from different faculties with lighting the lamp and unveiling the portrait of the founder principal K B Kotian.
Inaugural address followed by bhajans rendered by the teachers. The alumni from 1973 till date have gathered to fill the excitement.
Principal Prema Kotian announced to the alumni that celebration will include a plethora of exciting events spread over the year, making it a memorable period in the history of the school. She also said, ‘It’s an opportunity to remember, reminisce and be proud of our accomplishments. The school has been progressing and providing the best of education with well-equipped computer lab, science lab, besides a mini science centre and a dental clinic exclusively for the benefit of the children.’
Satish Chindarkar, founder of Anuyog Vidyalaya; Hussein Dalvayi, member of Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra representing Indian National Congress; Halim Khan, alumnus and municipal corporator, Shiv Sena; Suhas Adivarkar, BJP district president, North Munbai; Trimbak, former corporator, Shiv Sena; Pundalik Sawant, assistant divisional head, Shiv Sena; Suman Guaiss, treasurer of Siddhi Vinayak Temple; Santosh Kelkar, chairman, Jan Kalyan Bank and vice pPresident of BJP have been felicitated on the day.
The school is looking forward for a mega event on November 29, 2019 by binding beautiful memories of the past and wonderful promises that are yet to be fulfilled.
