Udupi: SVP Played Konkani Social Drama “Shegunachi Soon”

Udupi, 22 February 2011: Konkani social drama "Shegunachi Soon" was played by the St. Vincent Paul Society (SVP) on the occasion of their Golden anniversary, at Mother of Sorrows Church ground Udupi, on Sunday 13th February 2011 in the evening at 06.00 pm. Fr. Melwyn gave the "chaalan" to the drama, which was then followed by the prayer song from the members of SVP. Mr. Gracian Buthello gave the brief introduction of the play and all the persons acting in the drama.

 

The main Sponsor and the Co-sponsers of the event were honoured with flower bouquets by Rev. Fr. Mathew Vaz – Parish Priest of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi. Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes - Episcopal Vicar of Udupi Varado was also present on the dias. Both Fr. Mathew Vaz and Fr. Baptist Menezes spoke on the occasion and gave their messages to the gathering.

 

 

The drama "Shegunachi Soon" written and directed by Walter Monthero, was performed very well and entertained the large audience. The happy end of the drama was concluded with the theme song. The entire event was compeered by Mr. Gracian Buthello.
