Dishak was a talented student
He is the second son of the late Devanna Naik and Shyamala couple, resident of Vogga, near here. He had studied up to Class II at the state-run school in Vogga, near here and continued his studies up to Class V in Mumbai staying with his relatives. He returned to Vogga and continued his studies from Class VI at Morarji Desai Residential School. His brother Deepak is pursuing degree in Sri Rama College, Kalladka, here. Their father Devanna Kamat committed suicide by hanging 2 years ago. His mother Shyamala is blind, while his grandfather Gopalakrishna Prabhu, a retired teacher is living in Vogga and involved in social service. The family is modestly well off and there were no family issues. Dishak was a talented student won several prizes. His suicide indeed seems to be a mystery to his family, colleagues and teachers.
The police suspect whether the loneliness caused by shunting to different places during the course of his studies forced him to take such drastic move.
