MP Brijesh Chowta meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Mumbai (RBI), Apr. 02: Dakshina Kannada MP Brijesh Chowta, along with his parents, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today.
MP Chowta along with his father Sesanna Chowta and mother Smt. Pushpa Chowta met Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s Office and sought his blessings and guidance. On this occasion, Chowta presented the ’Pili Mande’ (tiger mask), a symbol of the culture of Tulu Nadu, to the Prime Minister as a souvenir. He also presented a photo frame from Mangalore Kambala and prasad from Kollur Sri Mookambike Temple to make this unique and highly honoured visit memorable.
Responding after the meeting, MP Chowta said, "Having the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with my parents has given me a great sense of happiness and satisfaction in life. During this meeting with him, we shared information on many issues. In particular, his immense knowledge about the art, culture and heritage of our coast has inspired me and made it a proud moment that will remain in my memory for a long time. The encouraging words given by Modi, a great leader of the world, have given me further inspiration to serve the people."
During this visit, Prime Minister Modi also discussed the idea of ??imitating the Gujarat development model for building a developed Mangaluru. He shared his opinion that compared to Gujarat, Mangaluru also has a very close similarity in many aspects such as historical trade and commerce, port city, entrepreneurship development, shipping building, fishing, food processing, cultural richness and so on. Through this, he said that he has sought Modi’s guidance to develop Mangaluru on the Gujarat model.
He said that Mangalore city has all kinds of abundant opportunities and resources to fully participate in this development journey of building a developed India. Through this, he wants to achieve self-reliance in every sector.

It is a precious moment for me to have been born in an ordinary middle-class family, served in the Indian Army and as an ordinary party worker, and today I have got the opportunity to stand with a world leader. This moment of meeting a great leader who planted the dream of entering politics and promised to make it come true was also unique, said Chowta, expressing his gratitude.
