Dubai, 10 Sep 2015: The feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Monthi Festh) was celebrated with Konkani mass on 8th September 2015, at St. Francis Assisi church , Jabel Ali, Dubai at 8.00 Priest blessed the bundles of paddy.

 

In homily highlighted the role of Mother Mary, how mother Mary brought up with Joachim and Anna, and told the Life and sacrifice of Joachim and Anna. Fr. Praveen said Mother Mary’s three important qualities were “I am the servant of the Lord” “Doing the will of God” and “Obeying God’s right time, not for her own time”. Mother Mary also role model for all the family. Also highlighted the importance of Family.

 

During the offertory procession brought new vegetables and other items as offerings.

 

          

          

         

 

Following the end of the feast mass, Parish priest extended the greetings of the feast to all parishioners and thanked all Konkani Catholics in the celebration of the Monthi Festh.

 

After Mass, Children offered flowers to Mother Mary. Children were seen carrying plastic baskets and plates filled with flowers. Children and elders offered the flowers to Infant Mary with much enthusiasm and joy.

 

At end served Nove Jevaan to all the People.
