Pamboor Welfare Association Kuwait Celebrates Monti Feast

Kuwait, 28 Sep 2015: Pamboor Welfare Association Kuwait (PWAK) celebrated their 1st Monti Fest at the residence of Stany Monis, Salmiyah, here on Friday September 25 evening.

 

Celebration started at 8,00pm with the introduction by master of ceremony Sanson Noronha.

 

President Johnson Martis welcomed all the parishioners with a spiritual touch of words and wished blessing of Mother Mary for the gathering. Prayer led by Benny Monis.

 

Infant Mary statue was decorated with beautiful flowers. Sunil and Wilma Menezes held the novena service. All the children were given a plate of flowers to offer Infant Mary singing, ‘Moriek Hogalsian.’ After the novena service, all children celebrated Mother Marry’s birthday by cutting cake and served the cake and soft drink to everyone.

 

 

Beautiful dances were performed by Vinisha and Viola which was appreciated by everyone.

 

Number of games (including housie housie) for children and adults were conducted by Sunil and Wilma during the event, prizes were distributed to all the winners in different games by Johnson Martis, Babitha Monterio and Stany Monis.

 

PWAK secretary Babitha Monterio thanked all who helped to make this programme a grand success.

 

Before meal, Gurkar of the day Stany Monis invited everyone to have blessed Mangalorean traditional, vegetarian dinner by offered tumbler full of water.

 

A mouthwatering traditional vegetarian food along with Vorn prepared by PWAK family members was served on banana leaf. It was great fun filled evening to all the members and families who attended the celebration.

 

The programme was compered by Samson Noronha and appreciated by everyone.

 

The event concluded with singing ‘Laudathe.’
