Udupi: Ayurveda aims at sensitizing people on longevity – Dr Nagaraj

Udupi, 17 Feb 2022: Sri Dharmastala Manjunateshwara (SDM) Ayurveda College, Kutpady, Udyavar, near here in collaboration with Rotary Club of Kundapura South and Inner Wheel Club Kundapura, organized a mega Ayurveda camp at B B Hegde First Grade College, Maranakatte, Kundapura, near here on Monday, February 14.
The local leader Manjunat Shetty Hegade Gaddemane Idoor inaugurated the mega health camp.
In his keynote address, Dr Nagaraj Poojary, medical superintendent of SDM Ayurveda College and Hospital, Kutpady, here said, ‘Ayurveda aims at creating general awareness on longevity. It helps in maintaining equilibrium of both mind and body,’ said Dr Poojary. He also explained the vices that ought to be kept in check for maintaining overall wellbeing.
Rotary Club of Kundapura South Mahendra Shetty presided the programme.
Inner Wheel president N Soumya Shetty, secretary N Shanta Kanchan, B B Hegde First Grade College NSS unit head Reshma Shetty were present at the dais.
Rotary members K P Bhat and Ramanand Karant were also present.
Over two-hundred-thirty-four people attended the camp and availed the free medicines.
Dr Arun, Dr Arpana Jin, Dr Chitralekha and junior doctors, interns were involved in screening the patients.
