Kambala Guthu Award to Mavwaru Balakrishna Maniani

Mangaluru: A devoted Yakshakalopasaka who has been doing art business in the Yakshagana arena of Tenku Titti for the last 46 years.

 

The Kadri Yaksha troupe will honor Mavvwaru Balakrishna Maniyani, the principal comedian of Sri Pavanje Mela who has toured in Kateilu, Adi Subramanya, Puttur, Kantavara, Madhur, Kadri, Mangaladevi, Edaniru Melas with the "Kadri Kambala Guthu Balakrishna Shetty Smriti Award".

 

December 2nd Monday, Kadri Temple Rajagana, Pavanje Mela Service Kadri Navneetha Shetty and Pradeep Alva Kadri of Kadri Yaksha Balaga said that the honor program will be held on the stage of the game.

Mavwaru is recognized as an active royal comedian who is famous for handling characters like Kashi Mani, Kuchela, Bahuka, Papanna, Vijaya, Malini Duta etc.

 

The award will be presented in the memory of Kadri Kambalaguthu Balakrishna Shetty, a renowned hobbyist talamadhale arthadhari who was a renowned Kadri Kambala composer for many decades and the president of Kadri Sri Manjunatheshwar Yakshagana Sangh. Then there is the Yakshagana performance of "Sri Sabarimale Ayyappa" under the direction of Patla Satish Shetty.
