J S Kehar sworn-in as new chief justice of Karnakata

Bangalore, 09 August 2010: Justice J S Kehar was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court at a brief ceremony at Raj Bhavan. Kehar, who was the Chief Justice of Uttaranchal High Court earlier, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by governor H R Bhardwaj.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended among others by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Law Minister Suresh Kumar and Lokayukta Santosh Hegde. Kehar took over as the Chief Justice from P D Dinakaran, who has been transferred to Sikkim.
