Katpadi: Animals displayed on 2nd day of Krishi Utsav

Katpadi, 23 May 2012: On the second day of the Udupi District Krishi Utsav, which is being jointly conducted by Udupi District Ktishi Utsav committee and various associations in Nehru Maidan, it was sea of people. On Sunday animals were displayed and talks were conducted on various subjects. Thousands of people participated in the exhibition of Krishi Utsav and cultural programs.
The display of the animals in the morning was a feast to eyes. More than 150 cows of various breed have participated. Women who look after cows displayed their cows and had special experience. Veterinary doctors of the Veterinary Department briefed on the cattle and on looking after them. Farming display, food festival and flower show drew attention of the visitors. Food was arranged for all the farmers and visitors who arrived from different villages, under the supervision of Ramananda Shetty and Dinakar Shetty.
Under the guidance of Udupi District Krishi Utsav Committee Hon President H.E. Dr. D. Virendra Hegde, A.G. Kodgi and under the leadership of Presidents K. Sathyendra Pai, Katpadi Shankar Poojary and Ashok Kumar Kodgi, the two day Krishi Utsav was held very well. The contribution of various organizations, departments, Dharmastala Gramabhivradhi Yojane was unique in this successful event.
In the dog exhibition held in the Krishi Utsav on Saturday evening more than hundred National and International dogs were displayed. In the competition the dog of Rakshit Udupi won the first place, Vishvanath Udupi’s dog won the second place and Abhi Udyavar‘s dog won the third place.
