Inauguration of “Varnothsava” at Bantakal Engineering College

Udupi, 30 March 2012 : A one day colorful cultural talent extravaganza “Varnothsava” was inaugurated by Prof.T. Ranga Pai, Principal of Dr.T.M.A.Pai Polytechnic, Manipal, at Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal, Udupi. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pai highlighted the importance of including a subject on Indian arts and culture in the syllabi of every University so as to protect and take forward these to the future generation.

 

 

Presiding over the function, Mr. Rathna Kumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi expressed his happiness over the progress of the Institution since its inception two years ago. The Principal of the Institution Dr. Mohandas Bhat S. explained the necessity of organising cultural events in the college for the overall development of the student.Mr. P. Raghavendra Thantry, Trustee of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi was present on the occasion. The convener of “Varnothsava” Prof. Renita Monis presented the cultural report of the Institution for the current academic year.

 
The programme commenced with the invocation by Mr. Vignesh Bhat, Mr. Preetham and Ms. Priya. Ms. Anitha Pillai welcomed the gathering while Mr. Rahul Kotyan thanked all those who made the programme a great success. Mr.Nihal Shetty and Ms. Manasa compered the programme. Various cultural competitions by the students followed the formal programme.
