Belman: Free Ayurveda Checkup camp inaugurated

Belman, 23 January 2012: In Indian culture Ayurveda has special position and there are treatment facilities in Ayurveda for the sickness without any side effects and even in foreign countries there is demand for such treatment, said Shrikshethra Dharmastala Gramabhvradhi Yojane Udupi District Director Keshava Gowda. But the response from the people is less, he said.
He was speaking upon inaugurating the Free Ayurveda Checkup camp in Belman Mini Vidhana Soudha on Saturday jointly organized by Shrikshethra Dharmastala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda Hospital Kuthpadi Udupi, Shrikshethra Dharmastala Grameena Yojane Belman, Inna Grama Panchayath Brhmashree Narayanaguru Samaja Seva Sangha, Bright Group Friends Sooda, JCI, Yuva JCI Belman, Lions Club, Lioness Club Belman, Shri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club Abbanadka nandalike, Devadiga Samaja Seva Sanga Belman.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Dr. Y.N. Shetty – Director of Shrikshethra Dharmastala Ayurveda Hospital Kutpadi said that, the 60% of the deceases we get is from our life style and by following the food system of the foreign countries. In Ayurveda there is cure for any deceases in a scientific way. The organization aims to create awareness among the public through such camps, he said.
The program was presided over by Grama Panchayath President Mallika Rao. Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias include; Bola Grama Panchayath President Jayakara Moolya, Lions Club President Ramakrishna Shetty, Lioness President Gretta D’Souza, JCI President Dinesh Suvarna, Arvin Mathias, Gopala Poojary, Sanjeeva, Sathish Umesh Sooda, Vishwanath Belman.
In the camp treatment was given to the common sickness and the doctors of various departments conducted checkup to more than 360 people. Belman zone In Charge B. Yashodhar Salian welcomed the guests and the gathering. Yathish Kalya compeered the program. Belman Vittala proposed vote of thanks.
