Bantwal: Heavy rains in the coastal region on Wednesday night caused damage in many places, causing losses worth lakhs of rupees.


The house of Jayantha Gowda of Moodupadukodi village in Bantwal taluk was partially damaged.


Shivaraya Nayak’s areca nut and banana farming in Karimale, Chennaithodi village, has been damaged.

The house of Sunnadapoli Sundara of Pilimogaru village in Bantwal taluk was damaged, the areca nut farm of Thapbarabailu Venkappa Shetty of Pilimogaru village in Bantwal taluk was damaged, the barn that fell on the house of Prabhakshi of Pilimogaru village in Bantwal taluk was damaged. The house of Chikka, a resident of Arabbi Gudde in Kasba village in Bantwal was damaged by a falling tree.


Bantwal Taluk Revenue Department officials visited and inspected the area.
