Mangalore:  World tuberculosis day was observed by Milagres College of Nursing on 25th March 2025 at college auditorium hampankatta, Mangalore with aim to raise awareness on tuberculosis. Miss Lisha first year BSc nursing student unveiled the theme of the day "Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver. Chief guest of the day Dr Khatihija Dilshad, District TB Officer, highlighted the magnitude of the problem in India and the world, importance of observing world TB day and various preventive measures. Resource person of the day Dr Shrutha Shetty NTEP Officer Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, educated the gathering regarding clinical features, Treatment, complications and various preventive measures of TB.

As part of observation, Quiz competition was organized for students. The prizes were distributed to the winners.

 

College Principal Dr Diana Lobo, Campus Director Rev Dr Michel Santhumayor graced the occasion. The program was compared by Mr. Dion, first year BSc nursing student.
