Lions Club Udupi golden jubilee today

Udupi, 25 April 2010: Lions Club Udupi is organising golden jubilee celebrations followed by the inaugural ceremony of the extension wing of the Lions Bhavan at Barhamagiri on April 25.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, President Ln Rajgopal S informed that Home Minister Dr V S Acharya will inaugurate the programme. The extension wing of the Lions building will be inaugurated by Dr A V Baliga Charitable Trust Managing Trustee U R Acharya.
Lions District Governor Ln T Basavaraj, Shamili Group of Concerns Managing Director Dr G Shankar, Multiple Council Chairman Lion Mohan Kamath will be the chief guests, he added.

There are as many as 94 members and nearly 17 branches of the Club across the district. The club has taken up lot many societal works like health camps, physiotherapy centre, and awareness camps on HIV/Aids besides setting up of six bus stops in various places within the city limits and so on, he added.
