Kurkalu: Grameena Udyoga Khatari Yojane meeting held

Kurkalu, 21 August 2011: The Mahathma Gandhi Rastriya Udyoga Khatari Yojane, special village meeting of the year 2010–11 was held on 18th August at Kurkalu Grama Panchayath premises. The meeting was presided over by Kurkalu Grama Panchayath President Akkanni. Other dignitaries present in the meeting were; Jilla Panchayath Member Ida Gibba D’Souza, Taluk Panchayath Member Precilla D’Mello, Kurkalu Grama Panchayath Vice President Shashidhar, Mahathma Gandhi Rastriya Udyoga Khatari Yojane Taluk Coordinator Raju Moolya and Kurkalu Grama Social Accounts Auditor Ravi Poojary.

 

 

Raju Moolya – Taluk Coordinator of the Yojane briefed the importance of this yojane, the rights and responsibilities of the labourers under the law, in the meeting. More than hundred labourers and villagers participated in the meeting and the villagers appreciated the works conducted by the yojane during 2010-11 and urged for more works this year. Panchayath Developement Officer Keshava Shettigar presented the report and finally with the vote of thanks the meeting was concluded.
