Belman: Education the precious gift Parents give children

Belman, 06 December 2011: The responsibility of the Parents does not end upon admitting their children to the school. Children should not be pressurized, but with the proper care from both the Teachers and Parents the talents of the children will blossom. The daily activities, discipline, time management and good care of children will make their future brighter. The most precious gift Parents can give to their children is the education, said Kaup Dandatheertha Pre University College Principal Alban Rodrigues Shirva.
He was speaking as the Chief Guest in the Parents Day celebrations at Belman St. Joseph High School on Monday. Speaking further he said that, the S.S.L.C. exam is not just limited to the students, but it is also training for the teachers and the parents. Providing the suitable atmosphere for the studies is the responsibility of the elders, he said.
The program was presided over by School Correspondent Rev. Fr. Lawrence B. D’Souza. School Headmistress Renilda Pereira welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher Chandrashekar read the report. Teacher Clara D’Souza identified the talented students. The winners were given prizes and congratulated. Physical Training Teacher Haridas Prabhu compeered the program. Teacher Anita Kamalini proposed vote of thanks.
