Bantwala: Karnataka State Recognized Non-Aid Private Schools Association (RUPSA) Kodamadu State Level "Vidyaratna" Award for Child Development English Medium School Vidyanagar Peraje, Principal Supriya D. The award was presented at the award ceremony held at Jubilee International School, Bangalore on October 21 in the presence of Hon’ble Madhu Bangarappa, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Government of Karnataka.
He has been involved in the field of education for the past 15 years and has a keen interest in not only curricular but also extracurricular activities. He has been a guide captain for the past 8 years and has trained many students to win state awards. The students of the school have won awards for writing essays, speeches, poetry seminars, various cultural programs, song lyrics for short films and science play "Yantra Yana" performed by the children of Balvikas School. He is also conducting the symposium. She has been awarded for reciting poetry in the state level poetry competition. She is also the favorite Kannada teacher of the students, who is the background voice for education-related documentaries.
Previously, she was serving as an associate teacher and vice-principal of Indraprastha Vidyalaya, Uppinangadi. Dadare.
She is a Kannada postgraduate, resident of Jeppu, Mangalore, and her husband Vasant Kumar is an assistant executive engineer at Meskan.
