Belman: St. Joseph English Medium School Inaugurated

Belman, 03 June 2012: New St. Joseph English Medium School under the administration of St. Joseph Church Belman, was inaugurated with beginning the classes for the 6th standard for the academic year 2012 – 13 by Udupi district Episcopal Vicar Rev. Fr. Dr. Baptist Menezes lighting the lamp. In the inaugural function held on Friday at the Higher Primary School hall Entrepreneur, Social Coordinator Nadalike Suhas Hegde was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion Suhas Hegde said that this function is simple and with the coordination between the parents and teachers the progress of the Institution will be possible. Poornima Shenoy of Karkala Kshethra Resource Centre in her speech said that, the government has made provision to start English Medium School for the interested school in the year 2012 – 13 and it is good news that the new school begins at St. Lawrence Institutions which has great educational reputation.
Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias were Church Pastoral Council Vice President Gregory Meneges, Secretary Lydia Aranha, Sanskrit Vidhwan Sadananda, Rev. Fr. Cyril Agera, Asst. Parish Priest Fr. Ronald Pinto, High School Headmistress Renilda Pereira and Higher Primary School Headmistress Sr. Monica.
Educational Institution Correspondent Rev. Fr. Lawrence B. D’Souza in his introductory note briefed on the objectives of the Institutions and also welcomed the guests and the gathering. English Medium School Headmistress Jenet D’Souza compeered the program. Teacher Gayatri Bhat proposed vote of thanks. On this occasion Sr. Daisy who served as the teacher in St. Joseph Primary School and now transferred to Ashirvad School in Mandya was bid farewell.
