M’lore: ‘Year of Faith’ Concludes with 3-Day Convention amidst Thousands of Faithful

Mangalore, Nov 24, 2013 : The three-day Faith Convention to conclude the Year of Faith was held at Nehru maidan here on Sunday November 24.
A large number of faithful witnessed the concluding ceremony here on Sunday from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
The convention organized by Mangalore diocese was inaugurated at Nehru maidan here on Friday November 22 at 4.00pm.
Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore concelebrated the solemn Eucharistic Celebration along with Bishop of Syro-Malankara Puttur diocese Dr Geevarghese Mar Divannasios.
Over 200 clergies belonging to different congregation partaken in the Eucharistic Celebration.
Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza in his homily called upon the faithful to follow the path of Jesus Christ and bring about a positive change in the world. He entreated the devotees to live and propogate the preaching of Jesus Christ and make the Year of Faith truly meaningful by daily prayers and meditation. He also announced the concluding of the Year of Faith in the Mangalore diocese.
ICYM national director Fr Franklin D’Souza conducted Adoration of Blessed Sacrament. Fr Ronald Cardoza preached before the Holy Mass.
Mangalore diocesan Biblical and Liturgical Center director Fr Boniface Pinto conducted the liturgical service.
The three-day programme comprised preaching, praise and worship, adoration of Blessed Sacrament, inner healing and Eucharistic Celebration.
