Konkani Natak Sabha : Golden Singing Competition Grand Finale held

Mangalore, 16 Sep 2013: The grand finale of the Inter-parish Golden Konkani Singing Competition of  Konkani Natak Sabha was held on 15th September 2013 at Don Bosco hall here.

 

Fr Valerian Mendonca, chancellor of Udupi Diocese presided over the stage programme and congragulated the Konkani Natak Sabha for organising such a great event and wished all the participants of grand finale.

 

Main sponosor of the programme, Rohan Monteiro of Rohan Corporation and Publicity Sponsor Walter Stephen Mendes, Managing Director of Western Institute of Technology were on the dias and spoke on the occasion.

 

 

The competition was held in three categories, below 10 years and 10 to 15 years in Solo, Duet and Mixed group, and above 15 years in gents solo, ladies solo, gents duet, ladies duet, Mixed group and Married couple.

 

Bajpe Parish won the permanent golden trophy in children category, Cordel Parish bagged second and Bondel Parish third place. In above 15 years category Cordel parish won the permanent golden trophy, Gurpur Parish bagged second and Jeppu parish third place.

 

Fr Denis D’Sa,  Joel Pereira, Bejai  and Dr Prashant Raj Vamanjoor were the judges.

 

Treasurer Prem Lobo introduced the judges, Raymond D’Cunha introduced the guests. Konkani Natak Sabha president Fr Cyprian Peter D’souza welcomed, General secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks and Vice President Dolphy Saldanha compeered the programme.
