Mangaluru: Konkani Natak Sabha Distributes Prizes to winners of Inter-parish Competitions

Mangaluru, 26 Sep 2016: The prize distribution ceremony of the annual competitions conducted during the year by Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore was held at Don Bosco Hall here on Saturday September 24.
The competitions held during the year were elocution, poetry reciting, singing, fancy dress, dance and Haskule (comedy) skit competition.
In the singing competition, below 15 years category out of city parishes Gurpur parish bagged the first place, Nithyadar Nagar parish won the second and Allipade parish the third. Among the city parishes, Bejai parish bagged the first place, Bajjody parish the second and Cordel parish the third place.
In the above 15 years category out of city parishes Gurpur, Neermarga and Bantwal Parishes bagged the first, second and third place respectively. Among the city parishes Bajjody, Cordel and Cascia parishes bagged the first, second and third place respectively.
Gurpur parish bagged overall championship in the children and adults category among out of city parishes. Bajjodi parish bagged overall championship in the children and adults category among city parishes.
In the fancy dress competition Bejai parish bagged the first place, Bajjody won the second and Kuloor parish the third in both the categories.
In the Dance competition Angelore parish bagged the first place while Bajjodi parish stood second and Cordel third place in the below 15 years category. Cordel bagged the first place, Bejai Parish second and Angelore third place.
In the Haskule skit competition Kushali Kinnigoli team bagged first place, Kalapreeth Paldane team second and Kumpadr Kateel team third place.
Bajjodi parish bagged overall championship in all the competitions held during the year.
The prizes of the competitions were distributed by the President of KNS Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza along with Elias Fernandes, Director of Four winds Mass communications and Santhosh Sequeira, Professor Santhosh Arrangers.
The vice president Prem Lobo, general secretary Sunil Menezes, treasurer Jerald Concessao and joint secretary Judi D’Souza, Raymond D’Cunha, Floyd D’ Mello, Alwyn D’Souza, Treza Pinto among others were present.
The president Fr Paul Melvyn D’Souza welcomed the gathering. General secretary Sunil Menezes read the list of prize winners and congratulated them on behalf of Konkani Natak Sabha and proposed vote of thanks. Prem Lobo compered the programme.
