Cultural Evening Held on Nativity Feast At Holy Cross Church Pamboor

Udupi, 10 Sep 2013: Cultural evening was held on 8 September, 2013 at Holy Cross Church Pamboor. This was Organized by ICYM Pamboor. Program started at 4pm with prayer. Miss Steffi welcomed the Gathering. On this occasion Teachers’ Day was also celebrated by giving mementos to the teachers who teach Catechism on Sunday . Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council,  Fedrick Menezes  honoured them.

 

Prathiba Puraskaar was awarded to the meritorious students of SSLC,  PUC and Degree and achievers in other fields such as music, art and dance, About 26 students were awarded by Rev.Fr.Paul Rego and  Fredrick with the assistance from Mrs.Jecintha D’Souza.

 

 

Prizes were distributed by ICYM Animator  Anil D’Souza to the children who won prizes in children’s games competition held on 1st September. Spot games were conducted by Josil Noronha (ICYM President). There was also variety entertainment programme comprising of dance, comedy skits, singing presented by ICYM and YCS members as well as altar boys and other children and youth from the parish.

 

Rev.Fr. Paul Rego congratulated the president and secretary of ICYM for organizing such a wonderful cultural programme and and wished them all the best for the upcoming events. Gibson proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Ashwini Barboza compeered the programme.  Many parishioners were present for the programme which ended at 6.30pm.
