Mangalore: Newborn found dead in rivulet at Talapady

Mangalore, 12 Jul 2013: In a most heart-rending incident, a newborn was found dead in a rivulet at Talapady near here on Thursday July 11.
The baby was found by the locals on Thursday morning.
Talapady panchayat members then informed the police, who arrived at the spot.
The police sources informed that the baby was a male that he might have been abandoned shortly after birth on Thursday morning.
The baby was shifted to district Wen Lock Hospital for autopsy. A few injury marks were found on the body that might have led to the death of infant, sources said.
Ullal police registered a case and are probing to trace the woman who delivered the baby.
