Moodbidri: Theft at Siddanta Jain Basadi and an Ancient Panchaloha idol is stolen

Moodbidri, 06 Jul 2013: In a latest theft reported from Moodbidri, an ancient Panchaloha idol was stolen from Siddanta Jain Basadi in Moodbidri at night on Friday July 5. The theft was reported early morning on Saturday when the door of the Basadi were opened.
The antique idol which the thieves have stolen seems to be very ancient and its value is estimated at crores of rupees.
Moodbidri police quickly visited the spot and the investigations are underway. Many local religious leaders, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, including Dr D Veerendra Heggade, visited the Basadi and expressed shock at the theft.
