Gangadhar Suvarna elected unopposed as the Kaup Block Congress President

Kaup, 27 July 2010: Gangadhar Suvarna, son-in-law of Vasant V. Salian, a prominent Congress leader was elected unopposed as the Kaup Block Congress President. A large number of Congress workers have supported Gangadhar Suvarna as the President of the Kaup Block and it is hoped that Congress will progress in the political field under the leadership of the new Block President. For decades Vasaant V. Salian had the control over the Congress affairs in the Kaup Block.
By strengthening the Congress party in the Kaup Block, Gangadhar Suvarna has determined to revive the popularity of the Congress in the Block once again. During the previous term, Gangadhar Suvarna was eager to become the President of the Kaup Block. Due to opposition from some of the Congress workers he had to give up his attempt. However, this year Gangadhar Suvarna was elected unopposed.
