Dubai: Wilson Olivera enthralls Konkani music lovers

Dubai, 04 May 2013: Wilson Olivera Nite enthralled the audience at Sh. Rashid Auditorium on Friday evening to the full capacity.  The super show by Wilson and his team of well-known singers Rony D’Cunha, Zeena Pereira, Preema D’Souza, Pradeep Pinto, Prashant Pinto, Monica Valdar rocked the audience with their scintillating numbers and melodious singing. The famous dance troupe of Dubai Ocean Kids performed scintillating dances and entertained the crowd heart full.

 

Ronald Olivera a prominent and famous MC of U.A.E welcomed the audience in his own super style and throughout kept the audience attentive with humorous jokes and beautifully organized the entire show.

 

It was the much awaited moment for the grand entry of Wilson Olivera and he welcomed the audience with a new song  ”Ugdas Tumcho Ailo”, singig beautifully followed by another well-known Konkani singer Ronald D’Cunha know for his melodious voice sang “Kenna Kenna “ followed by “Kallki Rath “ by Pradeep Pinto and Preema D’Souza a lady with  golden voice from the Mogachim Laram musical troupe accompanied by dance by Ocean Kids of Dubai.  Zeena Pereira as we all know, she is a well known singer from Mangalore who has sung in various CDs and musical concerts with her golden voice sang” Konn re tum?”  to a thunderous applause.  This followed one by one super hit song such as “Vochonk asa tuvem” (Wilson), “Mothint ek Asha” (Prashant Pinto) and 17 Sompon 18 (Prima Pinto) sang this song wonderfully and was received a great applaud from the audience.

 

 

Memory Comedy Group, Mellu, Moras, Richa supported by Lavina Fernandes from Dubai entertained the audience with rib-tickling comedy and kept the audience happy all through the program.

 

Wilson Olivera presented some of his hit songs such as “Naveekarann”, “Business Ghallo”, “Anthrolli Molbar” and finally he thanked the konkani community of Dubai with a farewell song:  “Dev Borem Korum” sang wonderfully accompanied by all singers which won the hearts of the Dubai konkani audience.

 

Wilson Olivera was honoured by Mr. Jawahar Castelino (Seasons Middle East Fz) with flower bouquet who is the ograniser of the event and there was no other stage function or felicitation programs which was a relief for the audience and there were no breaks this time and it was done in one go and with perfect timing and meticulously.

 

The music was provided by Adrian Gomes especially flown from Kuwait and accompanied by local musicians and lovely dances were presented by Ocean Kids Dubai choreographed by Vinod Sequira.  The sound system was provided by famous sound company in U.A.E. Broadway and the entire show was well supported by Konkan Yuva of Dubai. Ronald Olivera thanked everyone who supported directly or indirectly for the success of this musical nite.

 

There will be another show by Wilson Olivera and his troupe today  in ISC Abudhabi at 6.30pm.
