‘Students should develop leadership qualities...’ Lalaji R. Mendon

Kaup, 20 July 2010:  “The youth is the prosperity of great India and the students should develop leadership qualities...” said Lalaji R. Mendon, the MLA of the Kaup constituency while inaugurating the school parliament of the public school and high school of the Vidyaniketan Group of Educational Institutions on Saturday, 17th July 2010. Further he said that through school parliaments, students can understand the concepts of politics and administration.

In his presidential address, P.K. Acharya, the Director of the Vidyaniketan Group of Institutions said that every month the students’ parliament would function like that of the Vidhan Sabha with the ruling and opposition parties discussing the issues related to the students. 

On this occasion, the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties were administered the oath of office. Other than the students, the  programme was attended by the Headmistress-Jayabharathi, Wilfred, president of the ruling party of the students’ parliament-Prajval Poojary, opposition party leader-Felisha D’Mello were present. Shanel Pinto welcomed the guests and gathering. Vidyadhar Puranik-Headmaster of the school conducted the programme.
