Decennial Celebration of the Rotary Club of Kaup

Kaup, 21 June 2010: A function to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Rotary Club of Kaup was recently held in the Shri Narayana Guru Hall, Kaup. Speaking at the function after felicitating, the President of the Rotary Club of Kaup, Mr. Raghu Poojary and his wife, Mr. Lalaji R. Mendon, the MLA of the Kaup Constituency said that the Rotary Club of Kaup has become a model for other such organisations in the field of social service.

Mr. K.P. Acharya, Director of Vidya Niketan group of Educational Institutions in his message said that when organisations and associations work towards the goals of fulfilling social obligations they receive respect and support for the people. In this respect, he further said that, the Rotary Club of Kaup  has established a distinct place in the society.

During the Decennial Celebrations the following persons were honoured for their service to the society through the Rotary Club of Kaup-Dr. Navinchandra Nayak, former President of the Rotary Club of Kaup, Shankar Puthran, Vidyadhar Puranik, Madhav Palan and Shrinivas Rao Paniyooru.

The Decennial function was attended by Rotary Governor-Ramesh Bhandary, Inner-Wheel President-Mrs. Sumalini Dayanand and Lakshmikant of the Rotract Club. The welcome address was delivered by Ragu Poojary, the programme was anchored by Vidyadhar Puranik and the vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Kaup-Balakrishna Acharya.
