Christmas Celebration by Catholic Sabha – Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte Kallianpur

Udupi, 22 Dec: The Catholic Sabha of Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte Kallianpur, celebrated Christmas with great joy and enthusiasm during its monthly meeting held on Sunday, 22nd December 2024. The celebrations commenced with the 8:00 AM Holy Mass, after which the members gathered in the adjacent Mini Hall for the meeting and festivities.

 

The meeting began with a warm and cordial welcome by the President, Mr. Elias D’Souza. During the official session, important discussions were held, and necessary decisions were made for the benefit of the Sabha. The Secretary Mrs Maria Wilma Rego concluded the session with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone’s contributions.

 

The highlight of the celebration was the cutting of the Christmas cake, which was arranged by the Treasurer, Mr. Tolbert D’Souza. The event witnessed the presence of prominent personalities including former Central Council President Mr. Valerian Fernandes, the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Luke D’Souza, Kallianpur Varado President Mrs. Rosy Quadros, and former Deanery President Mr. Thomas Cornelio. All the office bearers joined hands to cut the cake while the Choir members created a festive atmosphere with their melodious rendition of Christmas carols.

Adding to the festive joy, members brought a variety of delicious homemade Kuswar, sweets, and other traditional Christmas delicacies. The hall was filled with the spirit of togetherness, sharing, and joy, making the celebration truly memorable.

 

The Christmas gathering by the Catholic Sabha once again reflected the unity and vibrant spirit of the Mount Rosary parish community, spreading the message of peace, love, and goodwill this festive season.
