Shirva: Laughter fills in ‘Haasya Sanje’ program

Shirva, 01 May 2012: On Sunday evening people who gathered around the Bantakal Shri Ganeshotsava Vedike; the elders, the young, men and women were taken away by the ‘Hasya Sanje’ making the atmosphere a sea of laughter. Presided over by Kundapura comedy poet A.S.N. Hebbar, President of Ha…ha…haaa comedy Association Kodi Ramananda Kamath presented the comedy sequences which apply to everyone.

 
Tulu Folklore Scholar Bhaskara Nellitheertha’s comedy sequences on the everyday spoken words such as gujje bole, peenkan thirgaye, saavu maraya generated plenty of laughter. Hebbar’s train journey of the honeymoon couple, Manmohan Singh, Sania Mirza, Japan Prime Minister, First… or Secone…? Lawyer Subbanna Bhat’s argument were all made everyone laugh.

 

 

The program was organized by “Parichaya” a organization of Pamboor formed for art and culture. Program Coordinator B. Pundalika Marathe compeered the program and introduced the comedy poets. Hon. President Vincent Alva Padubelle in his introductory note briefed on the objectives of the organization. President Anil D’Sa welcomed the poets with flower bouquets. Secretary Prakash Noronha proposed vote of thanks.

 
In the program Udupi Taluk Panchayath President Kattingeri Devadas Hebbar, Moodubelle Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, St. Lawrence P.U. college Principal Fr. Paul Sequeira, Kallianpura Milagres College Lecturer N.M. Hegde, Bantakal Temple Management Committee President Shashidhara Wagle, Bantakal Ramakrishna Sharma, Shirva Rotary Secretary Leo Noronha and Shivananda Kamath Shirva were present.
