Manipal Institute of Management (MIM) for a special social cause

Manipal, 07 April 2012:The students of Manipal Institute of Management, Manipal University, have taken a special initiative to display their  passion for social responsibility. They collected an amount of Rs.35,000/- during the course of the conduct of Inter-collegiate Management Festival ‘KURUKSHETRA’. This was the result of inspiration that they provided to the participants of the National level B-school competition which was organized in 10-11 February, 2012.

 

 

This amount was donated to Chetana Special School for mentally challenged children at Karkala. Sri Raja Gopala Achar, the Senior Advocate of Karkala who presided over this special function on 4-4-2012, appreciated the efforts of MIM students for donating this handsome money, collected from students and staff. Prof. P Ramakrishna Chadaga, the Director of the Institute, handed over the cheque for this amount in the function organized for this purpose at Chetana School, Karkala.

 

Prof. P Yogesh Pai, Prof. Pallavi Upadhyaya and Prof. Lakshminarayanan, the faculty Coordinators and Mr. Manorath Rana & Rakshith Shetty, the student coordinators were also present. Mr. Srinivas Hegde conducted the function. Various dignitories and office bearers of the Chetana Trust were also present on the Dias.
