Udupi, 07 March 2012: Former MLA U.R. Sabhapathi who is now the new leader of JDS said that Udupi BJP is only the external make up and nothing inside. He was speaking in the program during inclusion of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike workers into JDS on Monday. Except the widening of roads of Udupi there is nothing else they achieved, he said.
Speaking further he said that, they could not complete Varahi project nor they could re-start the Sugar Factory. Shifted the Deputy Commissioner’s Office from the convenient place Udupi to Manipal, causing difficulties to thousands of people, he said. While they were in the opposition they were against the Nagarjuna company, but while they were in administration they let the project happen. Now as the election came the candidate gives assurances of protesting it, said Sabhapathi.
Earlier hundreds of workers from Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Narayana Gowda party) led by Anil Baikadi joined JDS party. They were received by Mahendra Kumar of JDS. Jilla President of JDS, Deviprasad Shetty spoke on the occasion. Working President Gulam Mohamed, Vasudeva Rao from Youth Janatha Dal, Lipin, Anil Baikadi and others were on the dias.
