Milagres College, Kallianpur organizes ’Passport Mela’

Udupi: Milagres College, Kallianpur, took a significant step towards empowering its students by organizing a ’Passport Mela’ on March 13, 2025. The event was a collaborative effort between the Commerce Association and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), with the aim of facilitating students in applying for passports and PAN cards. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Akshatha Kumari from the Fortune Institute of Computer Education, who delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of possessing these vital documents.

 

Mrs. Kumari explained how passports and PAN cards are essential for students, enabling them to access various opportunities, such as higher education, employment, and travel. She also provided a detailed overview of the procedures and required documents necessary for applying for these documents. Her informative session was highly beneficial for the students, who gained a thorough understanding of the application process.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. Jayaram Shettigar, Staff Secretary, Mrs. Shylet Mathais, IQAC Coordinator, and Mrs. Chaithra, Convenor of the Commerce Association, along with teaching and administrative staff members. The ’Passport Mela’ witnessed an overwhelming response, with nearly 90 students applying for passports and PAN cards on the spot. The event was a testament to the college’s commitment to providing holistic support to its students, empowering them to become globally competent individuals.
